We’re proud to share that Partridge Homes has been shortlisted as a 2026 Finalist for Best Real Estate Business at the Official UK Small Business Awards, representing Birmingham on a national stage. It’s the kind of recognition that means something, not because of the title, but because of what it reflects: nearly two decades of work, built around people rather than numbers.
For our clients, whether you’re selling a family home in Hall Green, buying your first flat in Acocks Green, or simply trying to understand what your property is worth in the current market, this is about the standard of service you can expect when you choose to work with us.
The UK Small Business Awards is one of the country’s most respected programmes celebrating independent businesses. The judging process looks beyond headline figures. It examines how a business operates, how it treats its clients, and whether it has built something genuinely durable. Finalists are selected from nominations across every sector, and making the shortlist in the Real Estate category, representing a city the size of Birmingham, is not something we take lightly.
For Partridge Homes, the nomination sits alongside other recognition we’ve received this year. We’re also a confirmed finalist for Residential Agency of the Year at the National Property Awards 2026, which takes place on 18 September 2026 at the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham. Being shortlisted across two separate national programmes in the same year tells us that the way we work is being noticed beyond our own patch.
Partridge Homes was founded in 2007 by Charlotte Partridge and her late father-in-law, Kevin Partridge. What started as a local independent agency has grown into one of the most active estate and letting agents across Birmingham and Solihull, now managing more than 500 properties across areas including Yardley, Sheldon, Olton, Marston Green, Chelmsley Wood, Castle Bromwich, Kitts Green, Stechford, Acocks Green, Hall Green, Shirley, and beyond.
Staying independent matters to us. It means decisions are made by people who live and work in the same communities as our clients, not by a head office in another city. It means our valuations reflect genuine local knowledge, and our advice is given with the specific circumstances of each client in mind.
Award recognition is only worth something if it’s backed by results. In the first four months of 2026, we arranged 129 new lettings, up 79% on the same period in 2025 and the highest four-month total in the firm’s history. We’ve set a target of 365 new tenancies for the full year, one per day. That kind of growth doesn’t happen without a team that genuinely delivers.
On the sales side, our approach to valuation and marketing continues to reflect the same standards. If you’re thinking about selling in Birmingham or Solihull, you’ll get an honest assessment of what your home is worth in the current market, not a figure inflated to win your instruction.
We also hold the British Property Awards Gold for Best Letting Agent in Solihull for four consecutive years, from 2022 through to 2026. That programme uses anonymous mystery shopping and independent performance testing, so it’s not a popularity contest. It’s a measure of how we actually perform when we don’t know we’re being watched.
If you’re selling, the agency you choose to market your home affects more than just the asking price. It affects how your property is presented, how quickly it reaches the right buyers, and how well the process is managed through to completion. National recognition of this kind is an independent signal that the standards we hold ourselves to are real.
If you’re buying, it means the agency you’re dealing with has been judged, independently, to be among the best in the country. We take your search seriously. Whether you’re looking for your first home or your next one, we’ll work to match you with the right property rather than simply the nearest available one.
None of this happens without the people who make it possible. Our staff, our clients, our landlords and vendors, buyers past and present, and everyone who has trusted us with what is, for most people, the biggest financial decision of their lives. Being shortlisted for a national award in the year we’re also pushing for our strongest lettings performance on record feels like a moment worth marking.
